J.R. Walcutt · North Shore, Massachusetts
J.R. Walcutt is a former microfinancier, chicken farmer, and tarot card reader. He has searched for lost Native American tribes in the deserts of Mexico, hitchhiked in southern Spain, and worked as an aid worker in the slums of Mumbai.
Along the way, he lived on a sinking boat in the port of Jaffa–Tel Aviv and started an export business in Beijing. Those encounters with unfamiliar places, chance companions, and the stories people carry became part of the imaginative soil from which his fiction grew.
His debut novel, Gaia Hunted, introduced the Ascended Prophecies in 2019. The series continued with Gaia Rebornin 2023, alongside the free companion novelette Gaia Abyss. His work has taken him to book festivals, writing conferences, television interviews, and conversations with readers throughout New England.
He lives with his family on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
